Vacuum system for maintaining pressure of around 10 mmHg abs in a chemical reactor system.
The three most common arrangements of vacuum systems are:
1. Liquid ring vacuum pump, heat exchangers, separators for the barrier fluid, centrifugal pumps for extraction, piping and instruments.
2. Liquid ring vacuum pump, air or steam ejectors, condensers, separators for recirculation, heat exchangers, centrifugal pumps, piping and instruments.
3. Liquid ring vacuum pumps, roots type vacuum pumps, separators for recirculation, heat exchangers, centrifugal pumps, piping and instruments.
