Urolithin A
3,8-Dihydroxy-6H-dibenzo[B,D]pyran-6-one is also called urolithin A. Studies have reported that a substance called urolithin A in pomegranates and other fruits may help slow down certain aging processes by improving the function of mitochondria in cells; in addition, consuming this compound does not pose a risk to human health. Studies have shown that urolithin A can stimulate mitochondrial biogenesis in the same way as regular exercise and is the only compound that can rebuild cells' recycling of defective mitochondria.
