Benzoic acid is generally often used as a drug or preservative, has the effect of inhibiting the growth of fungi, bacteria and molds, medicinal use is usually applied to the skin to treat ringworm-type skin diseases. It is used in synthetic fibers, resins, paints, rubber, and tobacco industries.
