SWEET POTATO FLOUR Sweet potato flour is the dried and ground tuber of Ipomoea batatas, which is a starchy vegetable in the convolvulaceae family called the sweet potato. The sweet potato is a tropical plant native to South America. Archaeological excavations have proven that it already existed 8000 years before our era. Nowadays it is an integral part of the diet of many peoples in the world. Sweet potato flour is a substitute for wheat flour, especially for people who are intolerant to fast carbohydrates or gluten.
