The Spirotome is a hand operated large core soft tissue biopsy system in the range of 8 to 14 Gauge. It is used mainly in the early detection of (breast) cancer. The system is available in many diameters and lengths, in reusable and single use versions and is MRI conditional and safe. The procedure is painfree, give excellent tissue samples and the costs can be reduced up to 10 USD per procedure. The biopsy instrument is FDA and CE approved.
