SiSiB® PC7950 is a colorless to yellowish liquid, not miscible with water, decomposes with water and moisture under formation of acetic acid.

Application

SiSiB® PC7950 ethyltriacetoxysilane, ETAS silane, does not contain any additives such as catalysts, stabilizers or adhesion promotion agents. If required, these additives have to be added to the sealant formulation separately.

SiSiB® PC7950 is used as curing agent in acetoxy crosslinking RTV-1 sealant formulations. Within the curing reaction acetic acid is produced as a byproduct. Therefore, the corrosive reaction of the byproduct with substances like marble or iron has to be taken in consideration when using acetate crosslinkers.
