Besides, when a neodymium magnet is covered with a steel cup to make a pot magnet, not only its pull force becomes stronger, but also the cost will be decreased. Since pot magnet uses less neodymium magnet material to get same pull force with a same sized plain magnet, the steel cup is able to concentrate the magnetic field of the neodymium magnet on the working side, so pot magnet is magnetic on one face only, creating very strong adhesive force for holding and lifting purpose.

Shallow pot magnet is designed for a wide range of applications where space is restricted, but it is still wide range of size options available. It is able to be produced with countersunk hole, threaded bush, external thread etc. And the inner magnet could be ferrie magnet, NdFeB magnet, SmCo magnet, and rubber magnet.
