NAD
NAD plays a central role in cellular energy metabolism, participating in glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation. It transfers electrons to convert the energy generated during metabolism into ATP.
Levels of NAD+ decline with age. Supplementing with NAD+ precursors (such as nicotinamide riboside [NR] and nicotinamide mononucleotide [NMN]) can increase intracellular NAD+ levels, reducing oxidative stress and cellular damage, and potentially preventing age-related diseases.
