This type of device is designed to provide screening, sealing, and reparability.d connector backshells connect cable shields to Micro-D connectors, providing strain relief and mechanical protection. Engineered to help resist corrosion and fit a wide range of circular connectors, backshell and adapter components help protect connections from mechanical wear, environmental conditions, and electromagnetic interference (EMI). These backshells are made out of aluminum alloy. Electroless nickel is the most widely used finish. These backshells are compatible with industry- standard metal shell M83513 type connectors. These m83513 04 backshell, m83513 03 backshells are available with and without screen termination, providing long-term, high performance in sealed and unsealed electronics systems.
