Leuprorelin
Leuprorelin (C59H84N16O12) is a peptide consisting of 9 amino acids, which is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analog, and can play an excitatory role on the pituitary gonadal system during the initial period of treatment. With the prolongation of the medication, the excitatory effect is changed to an inhibitory effect, which inhibits the function of testes and ovaries, and reduces the levels of testosterone and estradiol in the body, and is mainly used for the treatment of diseases related to high levels of hormones, such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, precocious puberty, prostate cancer, and breast cancer.
