Lacosamide
Lacosamide is a novel NMDA receptor glycine site binding antagonist, belonging to a new class of functional amino acids, and an anticonvulsant drug with a new dual mechanism of action. It can selectively promote the slow inactivation of sodium channels and regulate collapse response mediator protein-2 (CRMP-2), which may slow down or even prevent epileptic seizures and alleviate diabetic neuropathic pain.
