Properties Easily soluble in water. Aqueous solution appears acid. Insoluble in , acetone and ammonia. Easily deliquescent and volatilized in the air. Slight odor of ammonia.
Uses Applicable to common soil and crops, not only used directly, but also used as water soluble fertilizer. Ammonium sulfate is also used as fireproof agent and additive. In industry it is flux in jointing industry. Food-grade products are used as dough regulators and yeast nutrition.
