Common Sources of Furnace Slag

Furnace slag is widely produced in various industrial high-temperature processes, mainly divided into three categories:

• Metallurgical slag: Waste residue generated from steelmaking, copper smelting and aluminum smelting, which is rich in recoverable ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

The whole process is simple and efficient: Furnace slag is evenly fed from the hopper to the trommel screen through a reciprocating feeder for initial separation, sorting out raw materials and large materials.

Electromagnetic overband separator is used to select large iron materials; iron-containing materials are crushed by a crusher and then fall into a magnetic separator to select iron particles and iron powder.

The remaining materials flow through the jig concentrator with water for separation, then into the suspended permanent magnetic separator and shaking table to screen out metal powder, and aluminum materials are sorted by the eddy current separator at the end of the production line.

Uncrushed materials are conveyed to the secondary crushing link by a conveyor belt for re-sorting and recovery.

This line achieves a 98% metal recovery rate, is equipped with a sewage treatment system, and is efficient and energy-saving, far exceeding the average level of peers.
