Wear-resistant Sealing Graphite Ring

Difference between flexible graphite packing and flexible graphite ring

Flexible graphite packing:

it is mainly made of various reinforced fibers, metal wires (steel wire, copper wire, nickel wire, carbon fiber, pre-oxygen wire, glass yarn), and other reinforced graphite wires as raw materials. It is suitable for dynamic sealing under high temperature and high pressure. In addition to a few strong oxidants, it can be used to seal hot water, superheated steam, heat transfer fluid, ammonia solution, hydrocarbon, low-temperature liquid, and other media. It is mainly used to seal valves, pumps, and reactors under high temperature, high pressure, and corrosion-resistant media. It is also a unique universal sealing packing.

Flexible graphite ring:

it is a ring product of different sizes made of flexible graphite belt or flexible graphite packing by molding. Suitable for hot water, high temperature, high-pressure steam, heat exchange liquid, nitrogen, organic solvent, hydrocarbon, low-temperature liquid, and other media. Used for compressors, pumps, valves, chemical instruments, meters, etc.

Replacement procedure of graphite ring

If the carbon graphite ring is damaged or the cast aluminium rod has a rough surface when the waterway is not blocked, the die formed graphite packing ring must be replaced.

1. Loosen the four bolts of the mould and remove the mould from the die table.

2. Remove three O-rings, screw down the pressure ring with a special tool and take out the adapter plate.

3. Loosen the two hexagon bolts of the mould, divide the mould into two pieces, and take down an O-ring between the two pieces of mould.

4. The upper ring of the crystallizer is reversed and rotated on a small rotating table. The crystallizer is heated with an LPG gun until the graphite ring falls.
