Drum Filter
The drum filter is a pressure less system with the purpose of physically removing solids, debris or fibers from 30 micron and larger out of process water. The drum filters have an important function in pre-filtration in recirculating aquaculture system. The drum filter can be configured as a standalone tank or in a sump.
The drum filters self-cleaning functionality in combination with a large filtration surface guarantee a high flow capacity from 20 m³ up to 800 m³ per hour. The drum filter features an integrated backwash system, ensures that waste material easily can be collected and discharged. The operation of the drum filter can be continuous or automatically controlled. The optional automatic control methods include timer and water level sensor.
The drum filters are designed for continues use and ensure a low maintenance frequency and a long service life. The construction is compact and engineered for easy operation. The tanks are made of stainless steel (304, 316L) or PP for use in fresh or salt water. The filter panels structure, bearing wheels and main shaft bearing are made of resistant plastics. The filter screen is made of stainless steel.
