Tower Height

Due to the height of the air inlet and the horizontal arrangement of the water eliminator,the total height of the counter flow tower is high and the volume is large.

Because the height of packing is close to the tower height and the water
eliminator does not occupy the height, the total height of cross flow tower is low and the volume is small.

Water Distribution System

The counter flow tower adopts the nozzle to distribute water, which has higher requirements on the pressure head and the nozzle is easy to be blocked.

The cross flow tower adopts the water distribution system of gravity falling naturally, so the water dispersion hole is not easy to be blocked, and the water distribution is uniform, which improves the packing performance to the maximum.

Overhaul

The whole body of counter flow tower is a closed structure, so it should be shut down during equipment maintenance or routine maintenance.

The cross flow tower body is equipped with an access door, and there is room for maintenance inside the tower, so that the equipment can be overhauled and maintained without shutdown.

Wind Resistance

Due to the reverse flow of water and gas in the counter flow tower and the obstruction of water distribution to the air flow, the wind resistance is high and the power consumption of the motor is large.

The cross flow tower is lower than the counter flow tower, and the high air inlet means the high packing, so the air inlet speed is low and the motor power consumption is low.

Noise

There is a large distance between the packing of counter flow tower and the lower water tank. After the water falls from the packing, there is a loud noise.

A small part of the lower part of the packing of the cross flow tower is submerged in the water, so that the water flows directly into the lower water tank after passing through the packing surface, and the noise is very low.

Water Loss

Because the fan of counter flow tower is located directly above the packing and the distance is close, the water drift is large. In addition, the splash loss of the water in the lower tank is very large, and it is easy to form water mist around the cooling tower, which is easy to cause the reproduction of Legionella.

The cross flow tower fan is located in the center of the cooling tower, and the packing is located on both sides, so the water drift is very small, which is an environmental protection product.

Modularization

The unit of counter flow tower is
supplied with air from all sides, and the air inlet surface is reduced after module combination, which affects the air inlet volume.The power consumption of the motor will increase.

The cross flow tower is specially designed for modularization,
with air inlet from both sides of the unit. After the combination of the modules, the air inlet has no change, and the power consumption of the motor remains unchanged.
