Corten A steel plate material

CORTEN A is an anti-atmospheric corrosion of copper phosphorus steel, Chinese called Corten steel, weathering steel, a high-strength low-alloy steel, corrosion-resistant due to the addition of some elements such as copper, to improve the resistance to atmospheric corrosion of steel. commonly used in the manufacture of locomotives carriages and containers.
Grade: A
Type: Plate
Standard: ASTM: Corten A
Steel Plate Specification: Thickness: 2mm-12mm
Place of Origin: Henan China (Mainland)
Brand Name: SDJS
Application: Corten-A steel materials most suitable for mountain long span steel bridge design. Ordinary steel rust-proof material shall rely paint, but in the mountains Jian Gu, the use of paint waste of time and a waste of manpower, Corten-A steel bridge is able to completely solve this problem.
Packaging Details: 2 tons per wooden box with pallet
Delivery Detail: 20-25 days
Corten A steel plate material Introduction
Excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion is due to the steel surface to form a dense layer of rust, the steel substrate and air isolation and effective to stop the rust continues to grow. Special elements contained in COR-TEN, after contact with the atmosphere, forming a layer of oxide film, this layer of solid film makes COR-TEN in isolation, no longer affected by climate change, to achieve the purpose of weathering and corrosion. When Corten-A or ordinary steel materials exposed to the atmosphere, oxygen in contact with water, it will occur chemical reaction to form a dense layer of rust
Corten A steel plate material Usage
Weathering process is first processed steel material Corten-A surface cleaned, and then sprayed with a solution of weathering (weather coat solution), so some chemical elements Corten-A surface creates an electrochemical reflected, forming a layer of copper, phosphorus, chromium, nickel, iron oxide film. And then sprayed with a layer prepalene, prepalene is a kind of mixture of colors, including low molecular weight acrylic resin (acrylic resin) and the organic solution. Because prepalene highly absorbent and the ability to absorb infrared, it can accelerate the formation of a solid oxide film. After a period of time, that is no longer sufficient to protect the COR-TEN continues to corrosion.
