Aluzinc Steel Coil

OVERVIEW OF ALUZINC STEEL COIL

Also known as galvalume or zincalume steel, aluzinc coated steel is a form of cold

rolled coil coated galvanized steel with metal coating composed of 55% aluminum, 43% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. Its unique composition gives aluzinc steel some distinctive features by the combination of the physical protection and high durability of aluminum and the electrochemical protection of zinc.

Superior long term corrosion resistance allows alu zinc steel coils to outperform galvanized coating by 2 to 6 times

The density of 55% aluminum is smaller than that of zinc. With the same weight and thickness of the plating layer, the area of the galvalume steel sheet is 3% or larger than that of a zinc coated galvanized steel sheet.
