1,4-Dihydroxyanthraquinone
1,4-Dihydroxyanthraquinone is a brownish-red powder that is an important dye intermediate. It is dispersed brown GL (C.I.58050). It is used to manufacture Disperse Blue HSR, Disperse Blue 5R, Disperse Blue B, Disperse Deep Blue RB, Acid Anthraquinone Blue R, Weak Acid Brilliant Blue RAW Weak Acid Green GS, Reduced Gray BG, Reduced Brown, etc.; and for the production of intermediate 1,4-diaminoanthraquinone. From 1,4-dihydroxyquinone by sulfonation can get 1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid. It is used in organic synthesis to make anthraquinone reduction dyes and other intermediates. Itself is dispersed brown GL (C.I.58050).
