ria signifie Robinet d'Incendie Armée. Tout comme l'extincteur, le ria est un moyen de premier secours utilisable par le personnel ou le public pour lutter contre un incendie. Ils sont placés à l'intérieur des bâtiments et sont alimenté par une canalisation d'eau desservie par une conduite publique ou exceptionnellement par un réservoir élevé ou sous pression. Ils doivent être faciles d'accès. Ils peuvent également être enfermés dans des armoires d'incendie à condition d'être signalé . Il se compose de : - Un dévidoir - Un robinet d'arrêt d'alimentation en eau attenant au dévidoir - Un tuyau semi-rigide d'une longueur de 20m ou 30m - Une lance à robinet diffuseur. Sur le robinet diffuseur on y trouve 3 positions : fermé / jet diffusé / jet plein.
