Tris acetate (CAS No. 6850 28 8), also called tris acetate buffer, is an organic salt formed by Tris base (tris-hydroxymethylaminomethane) and acetic acid. The tris acetate is usually used as a nucleic acid electrophoresis buffer or a buffer in other DNA-related research experiments. It will be used together with EDTA.
Tris Acetate (TAE) Buffer Details
Tris acetate (TAE) buffer is one of the more commonly used electrophoresis buffers and occupies a large proportion in the preparation of agarose gels. At the same time, it is an important derivative of Tris, which is widely used in medicine and chemical industry, in vitro diagnosis, microbial culture, and new materials.
Desheng Tris Acetate (TAE) Advantages
The purity of Tris-acetate (TAE) buffer produced by Desheng Company reaches ≥99%;
The appearance is white crystalline powder, and the powder is uniform, the Tris-Tris-Acetate Bufferacetate buffer ph range is maintained at 6.0-7.0, the product performance is stable, and the quality inspection process is strict. Provide a full range of product testing and special testing services, such as absorbance testing, etc., according to customer needs;
Have a strong technical team, rich technical knowledge reserve, can provide efficient technical support;
The price of the source manufacturer is more advantageous, eliminating the middleman price difference, the production cycle is short, and the long-term stable supply;
There are more than 100 exporting countries and rich experience in exporting.
Tris Acetate (TAE) Buffer Applications
Preparation of Tris-Acetate Buffer can be directly dissolved in water to prepare buffer solutions;
Preparation of an electrolyte for a lithium battery. The electrolyte for lithium batteries can suppress the capacity decay of the battery at low temperature during the charging and discharging process of the battery, and can reduce the amount of gas generated by the electrolyte under high temperature conditions, effectively prevent the battery from swelling, and improve the high-temperature performance of the battery.
Tris-acetate buffer can also be used to detect mercaptan content in
EDTA can also be added to the buffer prepared by Tris-acetate, as a buffer in DNA nucleic acid electrophoresis, which is often referred to as TAE buffer, and is widely used as agarose gel electrophoresis buffer;
As one of the common types of biological buffers, Tris-Acetate Buffer can be combined with glutamic acid to detect APT in a sensitive reaction.
50×TAE Buffer Preparation Method
Component concentrations 2 M Tris-acetic acid, 100 mM EDTA, volume 1 L
Weigh the following reagents into a 1 L beaker. a) Tris 242g; b) 0.5 M EDTA (pH8.0) 200ml
Add about 700 ml of deionized water to the beaker and stir well to dissolve.
Add 57.1 ml of acetic acid and stir well.
Add deionized water to dilute the solution to 1 L and store at room temperature.
Dilute 50 times to 1× when using. If the product is precipitated, please put it in a 37°C water bath to dissolve it, which will not affect the use.
Tris Acetate (TAE) Buffer Precautions
New Desheng Tris-acetate (TAE) products have unique ingredients and processes, please do not mix with other suppliers' Tris acetate (TAE) products to avoid defective products;
It should be avoided that the temperature of the product changes drastically during storage, which will cause the product to deteriorate and lead to errors in the analysis results. Store at room temperature and protected from light.
