Common molding methods of rubber compound

Compression Molding

A production model in which the rubber is put into a mold cavity and placed between the upper and lower plates of a flat vulcanizing machine, and pressure, temperature, and time are given under certain conditions to complete the mold after vulcanization.

Extrusion Molding

It is a method of continuously forming rubber material through a certain shape of dying under the extrusion of the extruder screw. This method is used for rubber hose, wire coating, and cable sheath.

Secondary Sulfur Addition

Secondary sulfur addition refers to post-stage vulcanization, which is generally carried out in an oven. The first purpose is to remove residual decomposition products of vulcanizing agents in products; The second is to keep the products in good thermal stability when in use.
